Introducing Beatrice Toney Bailey

Beatrice (Bea) Toney Bailey is a highly sought after public speaker who has conducted many seminars on financial planning, financial organization, and interview techniques.  Some of her most popular seminars are "Budgeting for the Not So Rich and Famous", "Putting the Puzzle Pieces Together…The Ultimate Balancing Act", and "Selling the Sizzle and Not the Steak". 


Born in Davenport, Iowa, Bea, along with three sisters and one brother, was raised by her mother, a gospel recording artist, and her father, a Baptist minister.  At the University of Iowa, she studied Early Child Development at the University of Iowa.  She subsequently received her BA in Psychology at California State University, Sacramento.


In 2004, Bea retired from management positions at the Xerox Corporation and the State of California.  After her retirement, Bea and her husband Rick started traveling around the world.

In June of 2006, Bea's husband passed away from cancer.  During his illness, she began a daily journal that eventually became a book titled "Farewell, My Friend".


"Farewell, My Friend" has been updated and renamed to "Get Ready, Get Set Cuz...We're All Gonna Go!!"  Bea gives you key advice regarding estate planning, in-home care, and funeral planning as well as dealing with doctors, hospitals, wills, trusts, stress, and even Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD).  This workbook also incorporates every conceivable facet of care giving and care taking.  This workbook is enabling people who are facing serious illness to move from a position of crisis to empowerment. “Get Ready, Get Set Cuz...We're All Gonna Go!!” is written in a practical and down-to-earth style with an overlay of humor that any reader can easily understand and use immediately. 

Bea is an active member of Center of Praise (COP) in Sacramento, California, where she gives a series of seminars on her book.  She has been a co-facilitator of a national GriefShare Support Group and a head feature writer for Senior Magazine of Northern California.  She writes a monthly newspaper column entitled Uniquely Bea for the 50+ Newspaper in Denver, Colorado.


Bea conducts presentations and book signings throughout the United States and Mexico.  Radio Luz, a Spanish-Speaking Christian Radio Station, has interviewed her multiple times.  She was selected to be included in a book by The Author’s Show as one of the "50 Outstanding Writers You Should Be Reading!”  Additionally, Bea has produced and hosted A to Z with Bea, an innovative television show that aired in November 2009 on RCCTV in Sacramento, California.  Episodes of this show can be found on YouTube at A to Z with Bea.


Traveling within the United States, Mexico, Asia, the Caribbean, South America, the Mediterranean, Africa, and Europe is one of Bea's true passions.  In her spare time, she enjoys working out at the gym, walking, knitting, painting, sewing, cooking, gardening, reading, and spending time with friends and family.


Bea has two married children, one “bonus son”, five wonderful grandchildren, and two great-granddaughter.


She resides in Northern California.
